Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Lead Worker in Washington, DC, working Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm, at a set pay rate of $19.05 USD per hour. The role emphasizes leading a custodial team, ensuring compliance with contract specs, and maintaining clean, safe facilities.

You will mentor newly hired staff, train team members, monitor quality, and report issues to supervision while adhering to company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of custodial experience preferred.
• Candidates with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to lead and direct others.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily cleaning operations and mentor custodians to ensure contract standards.
• Ensure quality and quantity of work; assign rework as needed.
• Train staff in cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with supervisor to complete all duties on schedule.
• Report facilities issues promptly to supervisor.
