Job summary

The Chimes, Inc. at Fort Meade, MD is seeking a dedicated Custodian to perform manual cleaning and lead a small team to uphold quality across public and executive areas.

You will follow contract specifications, mentor new custodians, assign work, and report on safety, inventory, and equipment needs while maintaining a strong focus on security and reliability. Shift is 4:30pm-11:00pm, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $19.13 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR/FR certification preferred.
• Six months custodial experience preferred.
• Custodial training desired.
• Van driving experience preferred.
• Candidates with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in day-to-day cleaning operations.
• Ensure compliance with contract specs.
• Transport team members, supplies, equipment to sites.
• Mentor new custodians and report on work quality.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms and surfaces.
• Perform routine floor care and carpet cleaning.
• Respond to supervisor requests promptly.
• Assist with special events and snow removal.
• Maintain equipment and report supply needs.
• Adhere to safety and security requirements.
