Job summary

Chimes District of Columbia. is seeking an on-site Custodian to perform morning cleaning duties and to lead a small team in day-to-day activities. You will oversee work quality, mentor new custodians, and ensure contract standards are met across executive and public spaces.

The position requires coordinating supplies, reporting issues to supervision, and maintaining high cleanliness levels in restrooms, break rooms, and entryways.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of custodial experience preferred.
• Valid CPR/FR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in daily cleaning activities and ensure quality of work.
• Mentor newly hired custodians and report on team performance.
• Coordinate transport of supplies and equipment to assigned buildings.
• Maintain restrooms, common areas, and public spaces per contract.
• Respond promptly to supervisor instructions and facility issues.
