Role Overview: This position involves performing a variety of diagnostic CT procedures, including advanced protocols such as TAVR, Cardiac CTA, and brain perfusions. The technologist ensures patient safety, prepares and positions patients, and maintains equipment to produce high-quality images. They provide compassionate patient care, verify orders, administer contrast media safely, and respond to emergencies. Additionally, they oversee departmental workflow, mentor staff, and collaborate with leadership on protocol implementation and process improvements.
Responsibilities: Conducting patient assessments, ensuring accurate labeling, and reviewing images for diagnostic quality. Managing equipment, maintaining infection control standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance. They also handle departmental operations, support staff training, and contribute to quality control and performance standards.
Qualifications & Skills: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT certifications in Radiography and CT, and BLS certification. Requires at least 2 years of clinical patient care experience and 1 year in CT. Strong communication, independent working ability, attention to detail, and proficiency in advanced CT protocols are essential. Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and commitment to patient safety and quality care.
