Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, including CT with advanced protocols such as TAVR and Cardiac CTA. You will position patients, administer contrast, and ensure high-quality, safe imaging.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT Radiography and CT certifications, and BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience with 1 year in CT.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle pressure.
  • Solid knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety and QC.

Responsibilities

  • Verify orders, obtain history, and assess contraindications.
  • Ensure proper patient ID, labeling, and safety protocols.
  • Perform and post-process advanced CT protocols (e.g., TAVR, Cardiac CTA).
  • Provide patient comfort and answer questions during procedures.
  • Maintain equipment, report malfunctions and follow infection control.
  • Produce high-quality images and transfer to PACS.
  • Assist with department operations and supply management.
  • Mentor technologists, participate in quality improvement and compliance.

Role Overview:

A highly skilled CT Technologist responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including advanced protocols like TAVR, Cardiac CTA, and lung screenings. The role involves setting up equipment, positioning patients, administering contrast media, and ensuring high-quality, diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify clinician orders, obtain patient history, and assess contraindications.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, labeling, and safety protocols.
  • Perform and post-process advanced CT protocols, including high-level procedures.
  • Provide patient care, address questions, and support patient comfort.
  • Maintain equipment, report malfunctions, and adhere to infection control standards.
  • Produce acceptable images, verify calibration, and manage image transfer to PACS.
  • Assist with department operations, supply management, and clerical duties.
  • Mentor and train fellow technologists, participate in quality improvement, and support regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
