Job summary

Job description

Role Overview:

The CT Technologist performs a wide range of advanced imaging procedures, including specialized protocols like TAVR, Cardiac CTA, and lung screenings. They set up and operate imaging equipment, position patients, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role involves independently managing workflow, mentoring colleagues, and providing exceptional patient care with compassion and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Verify orders, obtain clinical history, administer contrast media safely, ensure proper patient identification, review images for diagnostic quality, respond to emergencies, and maintain patient privacy and comfort. They also prepare patients, follow physician instructions, perform advanced protocols, and contribute to departmental operations and quality control.

Leadership & Collaboration:

Manage departmental workflow, communicate performance concerns, support staff hiring and training, participate in process improvements, and act as a liaison across departments. They oversee supply levels and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT Radiography and CT certifications, and BLS. A minimum of 2 years clinical experience, with at least 1 year in CT, is required. Strong communication, independence, multitasking, and technical skills are essential. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control is necessary.
