Responsibilities

  • Verify clinician orders, obtain clinical histories, and administer contrast media safely.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, labeling, and image quality before releasing studies.
  • Respond to emergencies, monitor patient condition, and maintain patient privacy and comfort.
  • Perform and post-process advanced CT protocols, and assist with other imaging modalities as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, perform quality control, and ensure radiation safety.
  • Organize workflow, manage supplies, and support departmental efficiency.
  • Participate in staff training, mentoring, and performance assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff, addressing questions and providing clear instructions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and document procedures accurately.

Role Overview: The CT Technologist performs a variety of advanced imaging procedures, including specialized protocols like TAVR, Cardiac CTA, and lung/heart screenings, ensuring accurate and safe diagnostic studies. They set up equipment, position patients, and adhere to safety and quality standards, contributing to patient care and department operations.
