Job summary

Bechtel in Houston, TX leads the API manufacturing facility project, supervising field engineering for civil, structural, and architectural scopes. The Lead CSA Field Engineer coordinates with construction, design, startup, subcontractors, and client reps to ensure safe, on-schedule execution and proper turnover.

Required 8–14 years experience or 12–14 years, bachelor’s degree, and strong capability in field drawings, codes, and installation work packages.

Qualifications

Experience leading field engineering teams and coordinating across construction, engineering, startup, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Strong knowledge of CSA construction execution, constructability, temporary facilities, field sketches, as-built docs, and turnover processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, codes, vendor documents, model information, and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise field engineering staff, set priorities, and promote consistent project procedures.
Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and other disciplines to plan work and ensure readiness.
Oversee field-procured materials, substitutions, and warehouse activities to support construction needs.
Review cost, schedule, and progress to support forecasting and planning.
Support turnover activities, walkdowns, punchlists, and data integrity.
