Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Field Engineer to support concrete scope at the Houston project. The role includes coordination with superintendents, engineers, quality, and suppliers to ensure safe, compliant, and on-schedule concrete operations. You will oversee IWPs, formwork, reinforcement, embeds, and testing coordination on site.

Strong knowledge of ACI/CRSI standards and BSAP project systems is required, with emphasis on constructability reviews and continuous improvement in field execution.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of concrete placement, formwork, reinforcement, embeds, curing, finishing.
• Familiar with ACI/CRSI standards and field inspection methods.
• Ability to lead readiness reviews and coordinate with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and review of IWPs, field material requests, and short interval plans for complex concrete activities.
• Interprets and reviews drawings, specs, codes, and placement plans; identifies constructability concerns and drives resolution.
• Coordinates readiness with superintendents, area field engineers, quality, and suppliers for pours including formwork, reinforcement, embeds, access, permits, inspections.
• Develops, validates, and reconciles quantity takeoffs and installed quantities; communicates trends and risks to supervision.
• Ensures materials, placement cards, inspection documentation, and procedures are available to support planned pours and field execution.
• Monitors concrete placement, curing, protection, and finishing to meet specs and project quality.
