Job summary

QTS Realty Trust in New Jersey is seeking a Manager, Critical Operations to lead data center facility strategy, maintenance governance, and continuous improvement. You will direct mechanical/electrical systems, fire life safety, and DCIM, with on-site responsibility 24x7x365.

You will manage budgets, coordinate with Development, Sales, and Solutions Engineers, supervise teams, and drive energy efficiency and safety compliance while delivering reliable customer environments in a fast-paced,

Qualifications

• Five or more years workplace or professional equivalent experience.
• Five or more years people leadership experience.
• Seven or more years data center environment or professional equivalent experience.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Military Schooling, or professional equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility policies and procedures compliant with regulations.
• Develop and manage maintenance governance to ensure 100% uptime of mechanical, electrical, life safety, and monitoring systems.
• Plan emergency response, incidents, and business continuity for facilities.
• Oversee operating and capital budgets and cost control measures.
• Coordinate with Development, Sales, Implementation, and Solutions Engineers to deploy and maintain customer environments.
• Lead tours and audits for customers, ensuring service excellence.
• Support energy efficiency initiatives and equipment upgrades.
• Supervise and coach facilities staff and contractors.
