Job summary

Amity Foundation, a respected teaching and therapeutic community, seeks a Supervising Counselor to oversee face-to-face rehabilitative programming in the ISUDTP. You will supervise about six staff, coach performance, and ensure compliance with DHCS requirements.

The role requires an AOD Counselor certification with a DHCS-approved organization and two years of experience, plus strong leadership and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Certified AOD Counselor with a DHCS-approved organization.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a certified AOD counselor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise approximately six AOD Counseling/Peer Navigator staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide coaching and training.
• Monitor Contractor staff performance and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure staff maintain valid AOD certification.
• Oversee orientation and intake of new participants.
• Monitor relapse prevention/CBI action plan development.
• Record participant progress and program data.
• Provide training to staff including OMCP Mentors.
• Coordinate OMCP Mentors and ensure internship hours logged.
