Job summary

Neuralink is building brain-machine interfaces to restore autonomy and enable advanced human-computer interaction. This role leads the cost accounting function for a vertically integrated manufacturing environment, partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Software to shape cost capture, inventory valuation, and reporting.

You will own the design of costing systems, enable accurate product costing, and support external audits with robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience with GAAP research and documentation
• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Experience with inventory, product costing, and cost of goods sold
• Manufacturing, hardware, medical device, or physical-product business experience
• Ability to document analyses clearly for audit review
• Experience translating product build into cost data for cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Build and own cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations and Software to translate product costs into accounting processes
• Design and evolve ERP and manufacturing systems costing capabilities
• Conduct GAAP research and prepare technical memoranda and accounting policies
• Design and document internal controls over financial reporting and test them
• Establish standard costs, analyze variances, and own COGS reporting as manufacturing scales
• Support external audits and act as technical contact for auditors on manufacturing costs
