Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of professional experience in food preparation, handling or cooking.
• Substitutions allowed with related coursework or hospitality experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production of meals for inmate population (600–7500 daily).
• Ensure safety, security, sanitation, and regulatory compliance in kitchen.
• Supervise inmate workers; schedule, train and evaluate performance.
• Monitor inventory, manage orders, and control waste and costs.
• Prepare inmates for community re-entry and promote program goals.
