Job summary

Fitchburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled kitchen supervisor to lead the dietary team. You will coordinate menus, train staff, and ensure high-quality meal service for residents in a dining environment.

Responsibilities include meal preparation, cost control, inventory, and compliance with safety standards. A culinary background plus supervisory experience are required to maintain quality and safety in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Formal culinary training program completed required or preferred.
• 3+ years cooking in high-volume setting and 3+ years supervising 5+ staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate menus and train kitchen staff with the Registered Dietitian to ensure efficient service.
• Prepare meals, cook, and serve with high quality and presentation.
• Manage food cost, inventory and ordering of supplies.
• Maintain kitchen and dining room sanitation per county/state requirements.
• Hires, trains, supervises, orients dietary staff and counsels when needed.
• Work with Dietitian to meet residents’ health requirements.
