Georgia State University’s PantherDining program is seeking a Cook II to lead at the stations, prepare according to daily prep sheets, and follow recipes with Chefs and FoodPro. You will monitor line production, maintain pace, and ensure food safety while collaborating with kitchen staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, training new employees, and the possibility of cross-training to support department needs in a fast-paced academic kitchen.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years related experience.
• Preferred: ServSafe certification.
• Good writing and oral communication skills.
• Extended standing and ability to work in all temperature conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead at the stations and follow daily prep sheets and recipes.
• Monitor and control product on lines; maintain a high pace.
• Cross-train for other positions to provide backup; support department needs.
• Assist in training and development of new employees; participate in ongoing food safety training.
