Georgia State University’s PantherDining is seeking a Cook I to prepare and follow daily prep sheets and recipes per Chef and FoodPro. The role ensures food quality and safety, maintaining pace and accuracy. Cross-training may occur to cover for the department and resources throughout the year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and 1 year of experience in institutional quantity cooking.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and controls product on lines.
• Adheres to guidelines, policies, and time schedules.
• Prepares the next shift for success, restocking, cleaning, and sanitation.
• Utilizes LeanPath for food waste reduction.
• Completes production sheets and service records accurately.
• Keeps stations clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Maintains FIFO labeling and storage guidelines.
• Assists in keeping storage areas clean and organized.
• Completes relevant food production and service records.
• Participates in ongoing food safety training for staff.
