PACS is seeking a kitchen cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. Responsibilities include preparing meals, following menus, and ensuring sanitary conditions in a long-term care setting.

The role requires a high school diploma, hospital/long-term care cooking experience, and a valid ServSafe certificate. Candidates should work well with other departments and assist with serving meals as needed.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred (≥1 year).
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate; knowledge of PCC preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately.
• Record food temperatures for meals.
• Prepare pureed foods.
• Cooperate with staff across departments.
• Supervise in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning schedules are followed.
