Job summary

Summit is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for our correctional facility kitchen in Newport News, VA. You will supervise and coordinate staff to ensure efficient meal service, food safety, and adherence to standards in a demanding setting.

Responsibilities include training employees, maintaining quality, and overseeing portions and temperatures for all menu items in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have proven leadership in a high-volume kitchen.

Qualifications

• At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supervising a team and providing leadership.

Responsibilities
