Job summary

North Capitol Nursing & Rehabilitation in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Cook for full-time evenings. Join ASC’s culinary team to prepare nutritious meals, ensure sanitation, and support residents’ well-being.

You will follow recipes, lead kitchen staff, and maintain a clean work area while complying with state and federal regulations. Prior healthcare experience and sanitation certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling preferred.
• Prior institutional and/or healthcare service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares foods that meet residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning and storage.
• Maintains a clean food service workspace during service.
• Handles and stores food per procedures and regulations.

Skills

Sanitation certification (preferred)

Healthcare service experience (pref.)
