Job summary

Fitchburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an experienced kitchen supervisor to coordinate menus, train cooks, and ensure high-quality meal preparation for residents. You will manage cost control, inventory, and sanitation while working with a Registered Dietitian to meet clinical dietary requirements.

The role requires 3+ years of in-line cooking in a high-volume setting and at least 3 years of supervising 5+ staff members.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Formal culinary training program completion is required.
• 3+ years of in-line cooking experience in a high-volume setting (100+ people) and 3+ years of supervising at least 5 employees.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate menus and direct training of cooks and kitchen staff.
• Prepare, cook and serve meals maintaining high quality and appearance.
• Manage food costs, inventory and orders.
• Maintain kitchen and food safety standards per County and State rules.
• Ensure sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Hire, train, supervise and orient dietary staff; provide counseling as needed.
• Collaborate with Registered Dietitian to meet residents’ health needs.
