Job summary

Angler's Hotel – Miami Beach is seeking a proactive Lead Cook to help lead our kitchen operations and deliver exceptional guest dining experiences. You will supervise daily production, mentor staff, and ensure quality, presentation, and food safety standards are met.

In this working lead role, you will coordinate menu preparation, uphold sanitation, train team members, manage inventory, and collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to ensure timely service across all outlets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen or hospitality environment.
• Previous experience leading a kitchen team or supervising culinary operations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Experience with inventory management and kitchen organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations during assigned shifts while actively preparing menu items.
• Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and presentation standards.
• Coordinate food production to ensure timely service across breakfast, pool dining, Habana Restaurant, and other food & beverage outlets.
• Monitor food quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation.
• Assist with menu preparation, production planning, and kitchen organization.
• Train, coach, and support members of the culinary team.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate product shortages or ordering needs.
• Receive, label, store, and rotate food products using FIFO procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Support opening, closing, and daily kitchen operations while working collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team.
