Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf is seeking a Cook 4 to join our Food & Beverage team in Brentwood, CA. The role covers food preparation, cooking, and plate presentation across multiple kitchen stations, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and support service leadership.

The position requires at least three years of commercial kitchen experience, a current Food Handlers card, and the ability to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment. Benefits apply after probation as described.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Must have a current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or team members.
• Able to think, work, solve problems, and make independent decisions.

Responsibilities

• Master all kitchen stations, including plating and expeditor.
• Train new staff on stations and recipes.
• Lead a kitchen service, read tickets, monitor timing, and respond to special orders.
• Assist in developing weekly and daily specials.
• Ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and a sanitary kitchen environment.
