Job summary

Gas South District is seeking an Event Manager to oversee convention center events from sales handoff through execution, billing, and post-event follow-up. You will lead the Events team, coordinate internal departments, and ensure safe, efficient operations with exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or event management and at least three years of progressive event management experience, including conventions, conferences, and large meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field required.
• Minimum of three years in event management or venue operations.
• Customer service experience required.
• Experience coordinating conventions and events.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of events including conventions, conferences, trade shows, meetings, and banquets.
• Serve as primary contact guiding clients through planning and policy.
• Conduct site visits and attend client meetings.
• Coordinate with Sales Team for tours and pre-cons.
• Prepare event details, service orders, floor plans, staffing.
• Act as liaison with service partners and departments.
• Manage billing, quotes, and invoice finalization.
• MOD on duty and respond to emergencies.
