Job summary

TPG Hotels and Resorts seeks a Convention Services Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute meetings, conferences, and conventions at the property. You will liaise with clients, manage logistics, and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends. Prior hotel or convention center event planning experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in event planning, preferably in a hotel or convention center setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in CI/TY and MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and local regulations.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients and event planners.
• Understand and anticipate client needs, ensuring satisfaction.
• Collaborate with clients to design and customize event packages.
• Address and resolve any issues or concerns that arise during events.
• Participate in client presentations and property tours.
• Plan and execute all aspects of events including room setup, catering, A/V, and special requests.
• Create detailed event timelines and ensure all requirements are met.
• Coordinate logistics for events including room layout and equipment.
• Partner with other departments to ensure staffing coverage.
• Liaise with external vendors and suppliers for timely services.
• Maintain detailed records of event specifications, contracts, and communications.
• Generate post-event reports and evaluations for improvement.
