Legends at the Albuquerque Convention Center seeks an Event Manager to lead planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows, conventions and large banquets. You will liaise with clients, staff, and vendors to ensure every detail meets contract requirements.

This on-site, full-time role requires flexibility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage schedules, safety requirements, and post-event follow-up to secure future bookings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of training and 2–3 years related experience in facility or event management preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or graphic programs preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage events at the Albuquerque Convention Center, including trade shows, conventions, and large banquets.
• Develop staffing schedules and mentor subordinate staff as needed.
• Meet with clients to plan meetings and events and explain contract provisions.
• Coordinate with vendors, marketing, IT, and other departments to ensure event success.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and fire code standards and post-event follow-up.
