Job summary

Cencora in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Controls Technician to support automated material handling equipment (MHE) in a distribution center. You will design, install, and diagnose control systems, PLCs, remote I/O, and sensors to optimize performance.

The role requires strong electrical background, CAD reading skills, and a track record in preventive maintenance. This on-site position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Facilities/Plant Management preferred.
• Normally requires four (4) years related experience; strong electrical background preferred.
• Requires ability to read CAD layouts and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and diagnose MHE controls in an automated distribution center.
• Design and implement complete control systems for small to medium MHE.
• Install PLCs, remote I/O, and sensors to control equipment.
• Lead maintenance team members when required.
• Ensure compliance with division, corporate, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain CMMS/EAM system and spare parts inventory.
