Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Controls Project Manager to lead on-site project delivery, coordinating hardware design, software programming, and commissioning for diverse customer sites. You will manage the project lifecycle, ensure safety, and drive profitable outcomes while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires a technical associate degree with field experience and licensing. Multiple responsibilities include change orders, vendor coordination, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Minimum of a technical associate's degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent related field experience.
• Experience with Access Control, Fire, Video, and/or systems design and commissioning.
• Appropriate licensing, certifications, and relevant hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site project leader to plan, execute, and complete projects with customers in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Handle hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout.
• Manage project financials including costs, billings, and collections while ensuring profitability.
• Pursue change orders and communicate status to customers through all phases.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, installers, technicians, designers, and administration as needed.
• Ensure compliance with AHJ and all local, state, and federal requirements and uphold safety standards.
