Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an on-site project leader to plan, implement, and complete control systems projects for assigned customers. You will manage hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and project closeout, while balancing customer satisfaction with profitability and cash flow.

Responsibilities include coordinating with subcontractors, securing change orders, and ensuring safety and compliance across the project life cycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a technical associate's degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent related field experience in the HVAC building automation industry.
• Must have relevant technical hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
• Must have the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently.
• Where legally permissible, if hired, candidate is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no later than their start date, unless medical or religious reasons apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and complete control systems projects with assigned customers.
• Oversee hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and commissioning.
• Manage project costs, billings, and collections to maintain profitability.
• Coordinate communication with customers through all project phases and pursue change orders.
• Provide direction to subcontractors and site technicians; ensure safety compliance.
