Job summary

United Future is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join its manufacturing facility in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The role focuses on troubleshooting, programming, and integrating equipment and automation systems, in an Allen Bradley PLC environment.

You will work across departments to improve safety, efficiency, and uptime. Responsibilities include detailed electrical troubleshooting, machine programming changes, and leading manufacturing projects from initiation to completion, with

Qualifications

Four years of technical education or degree, or two years of technical education with related work experience or training.
Prefer at least 5 years as a controls engineer, but will consider at least 2 years as a controls engineer.

Responsibilities

Maintain relationships with maintenance, tooling, manufacturing engineering, technology, and production to support operations and continuous improvement.
Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment from 24V to 480V circuits and diagnose faults.
Provide controls engineering expertise for projects, including specification, circuit design, PLC/HMI programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Lead projects by coordinating activities, timelines, and requirements with internal departments and external contractors.
Prepare and maintain technical reports and documentation for controls activities (FAT, root cause analyses, energy and process optimization).
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal EHS standards.
