Job summary

Nippon Sanso MATHESON in Irving, TX seeks a Control Systems Manager to lead automation strategy for air separation plants. You will head a team of automation engineers, drive capital projects from design through commissioning, and ensure maximum uptime, safety, and efficiency across facilities.

The role requires strong PLC/SCADA expertise, leadership experience, and a track record of delivering continuous improvements in a continuous-process manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in industrial automation or OT within a continuous-process manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of direct people management or formal team leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or 10 years of equivalent control systems project engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct a multidisciplinary automation team, providing mentorship and technical direction across plant controls, OT, and APC.
• Set and enforce standards for PLC/SCADA programming, code management, and engineering documentation across the fleet.
• Manage capital budgets and vendor/system integrator engagements.
• Support 24/7/365 plant operations, lead root-cause investigations to prevent recurrences.
• Govern OT infrastructure with high availability, data historization, and cybersecurity adherence.
• Oversee upgrades to maintenance programs and change management systems.
• Drive energy efficiency and performance through APC and AI/digital transformation initiatives.
