Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson is seeking a junior control systems engineer to join our team in Irving, TX, to develop the control system framework for new ASU plant control systems. You’ll work with the Control Systems Manager to complete assignments on schedule and within budget, coordinating with vendors, field technicians, and project managers.

The ideal candidate has a relevant engineering degree and 1–3 years of control systems programming, with experience in PLCs and HMIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 1-3 years of control systems programming; 5 years equivalent accepted.
• Experience with PLC platforms: Siemens S7, S5/CTI, Allen-Bradley.
• Experience with HMI/visualization: Ignition, WinCC, SIMATIC HMI.
• IT/OT networking and SQL database management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

JUNIOR CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER

JOB SUMMARY

Nippon Sanso Matheson (NSM) is looking for (1) junior-level Control Systems Integrator to fill a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work with the Control Systems Manager to develop the control system framework for new Air Separation Unit (ASU) plant control systems within the company as assigned, ensure assignments are completed within budget and on schedule, and communicate effectively with team members on project status and needs.

Essential Functions

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop initial PLC programming framework for new ASU plant control systems accurately and in a timely manner.
• Develop initial HMI visualization for new ASU plant control systems accurately and in a timely manner.
• Develop initial hardware configuration for new ASU plant control systems, including specification of control systems hardware and plant network architecture hardware.
• Provide commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting support of all control systems hardware and software throughout on-site ASU plant start-up, and otherwise as needed.
• Proactively coordinate with project managers, vendor engineers, field technicians, and contractors throughout the engineering, commissioning, and start-up phases of new ASU plants.
• Assist with FAT (factory acceptance testing) and SAT (site acceptance testing) of all control systems hardware and software for new ASU plants.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's Degree An engineering degree from an ABET accredited university is Required

Work Experience

1-3 years Minimum of 2 years' experience in control systems programming, or 5 years of equivalent experience is Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience with multiple PLC platforms including Siemens SIMATIC S7, SIMATIC S5/CTI, and Allen-Bradley.
• Experience with multiple HMI/visualization platforms including Inductive Automation/Ignition, Siemens WinCC, and SIMATIC HMI.
• Experience with IT/OT, industrial control systems networking, and SQL database management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong technical and analytical proficiency with the ability to multitask effectively and thrive in a team environment.
