Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson in Irving, TX is seeking a Junior Control Systems Engineer to support the Control Systems Manager in developing the control system framework for new ASU plant control systems, ensuring projects stay on budget and schedule.

Responsibilities include developing PLC programming, HMI visualization, hardware configuration, and on-site commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting during start-up; coordinating with PMs, vendors, field technicians, and contractors.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• 1–3 years of control systems programming, or 5 years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with PLC platforms including Siemens SIMATIC S7 and Allen-Bradley.
• Experience with multiple HMI/visualization platforms such as Ignition, WinCC, and SIMATIC HMI.
• Strong IT/OT networking knowledge and SQL database management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop initial PLC programming framework for new ASU plant control systems.
• Develop initial HMI visualization for new ASU plant control systems.
• Develop initial hardware configuration for ASU plant control systems and network architecture.
• Provide commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting support on-site during start-up.
• Coordinate with project managers, vendor engineers, field technicians, and contractors.
• Assist with FAT/SAT testing of control systems hardware and software.
