Job summary

Matheson Tri-Gas is seeking a Control Systems Manager to lead automation, OT, and APC strategy for its air separation plants in Irving, TX. You will guide a team of automation engineers, drive complex projects from concept to commissioning, and minimize downtime while ensuring safety and compliance.

You will enforce MOC processes, advance cybersecurity, and collaborate with operations, safety, and quality teams to align automation with corporate goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited) or 10+ years control systems experience.
• 8+ years in industrial automation or OT in continuous-process manufacturing.
• 3+ years of direct people management or team leadership experience.
• 5+ years managing automation CapEx projects from design to commissioning.
• 5+ years background in process optimization with APC or AI/digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct a multidisciplinary automation team and provide technical direction.
• Set standards for PLC/SCADA programming, code management, and documentation.
• Manage budgets, KPIs, and external vendors or integrators.
• Support 24/7 plant operations and drive root-cause investigations for failures.
• Oversee OT infrastructure, data historization, and safety/compliance.
