Job summary

Nippon Sanso Matheson, Inc. seeks a highly skilled Controls Engineer to support automation, plant operations, and control systems maintenance across our air separation facilities in Irving, TX.

You will diagnose issues, optimize uptime, and implement compliant logic changes within a regulated continuous-process environment. The role requires hands-on PLC/SCADA expertise, strong documentation discipline, and collaboration with operations, safety, quality, and engineering teams to sustain safe,

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or 10 years equivalent control systems experience.
• 5 years with degree, 10 years without in control systems programming and industrial automation.
• Experience with ASUs or similar cryogenic/chemical processes including compressors and distillation columns preferred.
• Experience within strictly regulated manufacturing environments using formal MOC or validated control protocols preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support 24/7/365 continuous plant operations by providing timely technical assistance for control system needs.
• Execute day-to-day PLC/SCADA programming updates and logic modifications per coding standards.
• Modify PLC wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and control narratives to support safe automation.
• Follow MOC protocols, complete risk assessments and documentation prior to deployment.
• Maintain validated state of plant control systems with test plans and modifications.
• Lead local root-cause investigations and implement CAPAs.
• Monitor OT assets to ensure high availability of SCADA terminals and data history.
• Collaborate with operations, safety, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues.
