Job summary

Stanley Consultants is seeking a Principal Control Systems Engineer to lead complex control systems projects across municipal water, power generation, and industrial automation. You will guide design, instrumentation, and control strategies for DCS/PLC implementations, ensuring compliance with ISA/IEC/NFPA/NEC standards.

The role requires deep expertise in process instrumentation, control theory, and advanced control methods, with strong communication to clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BSEE from ABET-accredited university.
• PE license required.
• Minimum 12 years in control systems engineering.
• Experience with DCS/PLC design, implementation, commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex control systems engineering assignments and coordinate with teams.
• Evaluate existing systems and design plant control/instrumentation for diverse applications (DCS/PLC).
• Develop innovative control system architectures and optimize project outcomes.
