Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 3 in Raleigh, NC to plan, manage and execute projects of moderate complexity. You will lead the team, plan construction sequencing and ensure timely, profitable completion in alignment with JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

You will manage safety culture, coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and owners, and drive quality and efficiency across the project lifecycle. Strong leadership, scheduling and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required; bachelor’s preferred.
• 8+ years construction experience and 5+ years of field supervision.
• Strong leadership, safety and QA/QC focus required.

Responsibilities

• Leads all aspects of safety culture and mentorship; ensures injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates and manages project site care, custody and control.
• Leads daily standups and weekly trade meetings; participates in progress meetings.
• Prepares and participates in project review meetings and buy-out discussions.
• Creates and manages project schedule with Project Manager; tracks changes.
• Monitors budget and costs using project reports and data from PM.
• Communicates key project information to owners, design team, authorities and vendors.
• Ensures quality compliance through specifications and QA/QC.
• Supports project closeouts and pre-punch activities; coordinates with stakeholders.
• Participates in pursuit processes and pre-plans with field leadership.
• Identifies and recruits top talent; promotes diversity and inclusion.
