Job summary

JE Dunn Construction's Advanced Facilities Group in Raleigh seeks a Superintendent 1 to plan, manage and execute assigned projects, including safety, scheduling, budgeting and coordination with owners, design teams and trades. This role emphasizes leadership, field operations and documentation to meet timely, profitable project completion.

You will supervise subcontractors, manage self‑perform activities, track costs, and maintain quality standards while supporting the project pursuit process

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience leading safety, scheduling and budgeting on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and ensures an injury‑free environment through actions and mentoring.
• Manages subcontractors and organizes overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs like Safety, Quality and EEO.
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self‑performed work.
• Coordinates site care, custody and control and leads project meetings.
• Creates and updates the project schedule with the Project Manager.
