Job summary

Walbridge is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale projects in the Columbus area, with responsibilities spanning planning, scheduling, and team leadership across multiple trades. The role requires extensive travel and a focus on safety and quality.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in supervisory construction roles on commercial or industrial sites, and a valid US driver’s license along with a passport enabling frequent travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years supervisory experience in facility construction technology, commercial or industrial projects.
• Experience on Commercial or Industrial projects with budgets of at least $50M.
• Valid US driver’s license and valid passport; willingness to travel; travel estimated at 70%.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and maintain high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise construction activities, determining methods, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules.
• Coordinate work with different crafts, departments, or contractors; maintain communication with unions.
• Monitor safety programs and ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support project schedules.
• Communicate with executives, clients, and vendors to ensure alignment and address concerns.
• Track project progress through metrics and adjust plans to meet requirements.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Seek ways to optimize processes and improve project outcomes through new technologies or methodologies.
