Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for DCPD to lead health and safety initiatives on data center projects in the Columbus, OH area.

The role partners with Real Estate, Permitting, Construction, and Security teams to ensure compliance with H&S programs and regional regulations. You will influence safety strategy, lead site visits, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with vendors and internal teams across the Americas region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience on construction projects.
• 6+ years of construction health & safety experience on active construction projects.
• 2+ years experience leading EHS Programs on construction projects.
• Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST) Certification OR one of the Preferred Qualification Certifications

Responsibilities

• Influence program development, framework and strategy for H&S within DCPD projects.
• Coordinate with DCPD managers to prioritize H&S in planning and execution.
• Ensure onboarding compliance of GC and AWS deployment vendors in Avetta.
• Lead site H&S kickoff sessions and review contractor safety plans.
• Document data for Weekly/Monthly reviews for DCPD and H&S leadership
• Manage 3rd party/internal H&S resources on DCPD projects
