Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to lead health and safety efforts on data center planning and delivery projects. You will partner with Real Estate, Due Diligence, Permitting, and Construction teams to implement safety programs at field sites across Columbus, OH, San Antonio, TX, and Denver, CO.

This role requires 5+ years in health and safety within construction, strong communication, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of program or project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years of health and safety experience in construction or industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• This is a field based role, required to report to work at field construction projects around Columbus, OH, San Antonio, TX and Denver, CO five days per week.
• Deploy H&S programs covering leadership, planning, operations, controls, and performance management across DCPD projects.
• Monitor onboarding compliance of General Contractors and AWS deployment vendors in Avetta and ensure safety standards.
• Conduct regular site visits with H&S resources, construction managers and regional teams.
• Document data and observations in reporting tools for DCPD and H&S leadership.
