Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to support DCPD Health and Safety on field construction projects across Central Oregon and beyond. You will partner with Real Estate, Due Diligence, Permitting, Energy, and Construction teams to meet H&S goals and improve safety culture, reporting to the AMER Regional Health & Safety Manager.

This role requires travel to domestic locations and extensive field work, with strong emphasis on governance, data-driven safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 8+ years in compliance, audit, or risk management.
• 8+ years of construction health & safety experience on active construction projects.
• CHST certification required.
• 4+ years leading EHS programs on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Review risk assessments with real estate, preconstruction, and construction ops for H&S.
• Coordinate with DCPD managers to prioritize H&S in planning and execution.
• Ensure GC and AWS deployment vendors comply with onboarding requirements in Avetta.
• Lead H&S kickoff sessions and review contractor/vendor Construction Safety Management Plans.
• Document data in standard reporting tools for DCPD and H&S leadership.
• Manage 3rd party/internal H&S resources on DCPD projects.
• Audit projects against processes and analyze indicators for trends and risks.
• Conduct regular site visits with H&S consultants and construction teams.
• Host project and regional H&S kickoff sessions and performance reviews.
