Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements.

You write the project QC plan, lead three-phase control meetings, supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians, and own the NCR process with responsibility for test results and nonconformances.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and communicates with owners and supers.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
