Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC standards. You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase control meetings, and own results from tests and NCRs on the site.

The role requires managing field inspectors, coordinating with owner QA representatives, and traveling to project sites.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection; includes 2+ years supervising inspectors.
USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
Strong ability to write clearly and assertively in meetings with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
