Job summary

Construction Quality Manager II oversees the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You author the project quality control plan, chair three-phase control meetings, and stand before the owner's QA representative to own every test result and nonconformance.

You supervise QC inspectors, coordinate testing and certifications, and drive the NCR process with documented corrective actions for successful audits.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in meetings with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and obtain owner/agency acceptance.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present data at owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
