Job summary

A Construction Quality Manager II leads the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements. You supervise field inspectors and technicians, write the project QC plan, and run the three-phase control meetings with the owner's QA representative.

You answer for every test result and NCR, drive corrective actions, and coordinate testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
