Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced project engineer to manage information required to build projects on time, within budget and per contract. You will supervise engineers, assistants and interns, and coordinate with Architects, Subcontractors and Owners to resolve issues and keep drawings and schedules aligned.

You will apply BIM and LEAN methods, oversee submittals, change orders and close-out activities, and report on general conditions and quality control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of four years' related experience or equivalent.
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Utilizes Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEAN principles in project work.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead liaison with Architects, Subcontractors, Consultants, Suppliers, Inspectors and Owner's Representatives.
• Oversee and resolve issues related to plans, specs and estimates.
• Manage the project budget and submittals; review shop drawings for conformance.
• Negotiate Change Orders and coordinate information on changes in the Work.
• Oversee close-out processes, including RFIs, warranties, O&Ms and spare parts.
• Supervise engineers, assistants, clerks and interns; contribute to performance appraisals.
• Develop Scope of Work documents and prepare various project reports.
• Schedule subcontractor meetings and submittal reviews.
