Job summary

S&M is seeking a Construction Materials Project Engineer Project Manager to join our Myrtle Beach, South Carolina office. Lead CMT and Special Inspection projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.

You will oversee technical execution, mentor field and engineering staff, and cultivate client and contractor relationships to drive project success and long-term performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical engineering required.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in CMT and SI.
• At least 2 years in a project management role.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred or obtainable in future with active ICC, ACI, DOT certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMT and SI projects from kickoff through closeout with budgeting and scheduling.
• Coordinate resources and oversee technical execution per plans and IBC requirements.
• Mentor technicians and engineers to ensure accurate testing and quality reporting.
• Oversee reports, proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
• Build client relationships and support business development and marketing efforts.
