Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Construction Materials Project Professional for our Atlanta, GA office. You will lead CMT and SI projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction across all phases.

Responsibilities include mentoring field staff, reviewing reports, and contributing to proposals while expanding client relationships and local market presence. This full‑time role offers competitive pay and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a similar technical field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection (SI).
• Active CMT/Si industry certifications (ACI Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory Technician; ICC Special Inspector).
• Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, DOT standards, and IBC Special Inspections requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Ability to develop, review, and deliver accurate technical reports and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMT and Special Inspection projects from kickoff to closeout, including budgeting and scheduling.
• Collaborate with clients and contractors through meetings and site visits.
• Provide technical oversight and mentor technicians and engineers on testing and reporting.
• Oversee reports, scopes of work, and cost estimates for accuracy and timely delivery.
• Support business development by building client relationships and participating in industry activities.
