Job summary

S&ME, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Project Engineer in Atlanta, GA to lead CMT and SI projects from kickoff to closeout.

The role emphasizes technical execution, client relationships, and mentorship of staff, with a strong focus on quality and compliance. The candidate will manage field oversight, review documentation, and contribute to business development while delivering high-quality project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or related Engineering discipline.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• Active ICC, ACI, and DOT certificates are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMT and Special Inspection projects from kickoff to closeout with budget, schedule, and resource oversight.
• Coordinate with clients and contractors through meetings and site visits.
• Review field documentation and mentor technicians and engineers to ensure testing accuracy and quality reporting.
• Oversee reports, scopes of work, and cost estimates to align with project needs and timelines.
• Build and maintain client relationships and support marketing efforts to grow the local market.
