Job summary

S&ME is seeking a Construction Materials Project Engineer/Project Manager in our Myrtle Beach, SC office. Lead CMT and Special Inspection projects, mentor staff, and drive client satisfaction through diligent technical oversight and coordination.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and reports while building strong client and contractor relationships, contributing to project success and company growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or related Engineering.
• EIT certification is required.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain in future.
• Active ICC, ACI, and DOT certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, DOT standards and IBC Special Inspection requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead CMT and Special Inspection projects from start to finish, including budgets and schedules.
• Mentor technicians and engineers to ensure quality testing and reporting.
• Manage client and contractor meetings, site visits, and project requirements.
• Oversee reports, scopes of work, and cost estimates for accuracy and timely delivery.
• Support business development and grow local market presence.
